What comes to mind when you hear the words “faith community?” Do you immediately picture friends in your church? Or, do you think about your family? Do you think about the kindred spirit that sparks when you meet someone for the first time and realize that person shares your beliefs?

The truth is our faith community is made up of people worldwide! It includes anyone who follows Jesus. It’s exciting to think we are part of such a huge community that goes beyond the borders of our neighborhoods and spans the breadth of the entire globe!

This month, we’d like to introduce you to some of your faith community members who serve around the world. We’d like to encourage you to pray for these special people as a way of helping to carry their burdens. Then take it a step further by encouraging them with a note introducing your family and letting them know you are praying for them.

Many of these missionaries feel alone and separated from the communities they are familiar with and love. They are sacrificing many things to spread God’s love. Writing them a note and letting them know you are praying for them will bring incredible encouragement and remind them they are surrounded with community even if you have never met!
